‘Sizzle steaks’ otherwise known as ‘minute steaks’ range from 1-1.5cm in thickness and are perfect for a quick and easy meal.
How to Cook Pork Sizzle Steak:

- Preheat a pan to high. Season steak with salt and pepper and a little oil.
- Cook for 1 ½ minute without turning.
- Turn, cook for another minute.
- Rest on a plate for two minutes to allow the juices to settle, slice and serve.
Sizzle steaks are also perfect for pork schnitzel (no need to flatten):
Instructions based off 4 x pork sizzle steaks
Use additional ingredients of your choice:
- 1 cup seasoned flour
- ¾ cup egg wash
- 2 cups crumb of choice
- Oil for shallow frying

STEP 1
In 3 separate containers; combine ingredients of choice for seasoned flour, egg wash & crumb mixtures.
STEP 2
Dust pork steaks with the seasoned flour.
STEP 3
Dip the pork steaks into the egg wash mixture. Let any excess drip away.
STEP 4
Press pork steaks firmly into the cumb mixture and coat well on both sides. Place crumbed schnitzel on a tray and chill for 15 minutes.
STEP 5
Heat 2 tablespoons oil and 20g butter (optional) in a large frying pan over medium heat. When butter has melted, and mixture is sizzling, add 2 schnitzels and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden and just cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining schnitzels.
